Recess wRECklESS Rail Jam, Held Feb 28, Brings 70 Shredders to Beech Mountain Resort
On Saturday, Feb. 28, Recess Skate and Snow held the sixth annual wRECklESS Rail Jam at Beech Mountain Resort. This year’s event brought in 70 snowboarders to compete, which was quite a bit more than organizer and RECESS owner J.P. Pardy expected.
“For a snowboard-only event, we had a lot of people come out,” Pardy said.
“The level of competition this year was probably the highest I have seen in this area ever.”
The competition boasted a whole heap of great prizes, most impressive of which was the $1,000 cash prize for the overall winner of the competition.
First place advanced took home the coveted $1,000 cash prize, while second place received $600 and third place nabbed $400. Other prizes included a brand new Capita snowboard, Union bindings, SPY goggles, Recess Gift Certificates and much more.
