Live Music with If Birds Could Fly at 5506′ Skybar

August 18, 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Live Music 5506′ with If Birds Could Fly

The coolest mountaintop bar east of the Rockies is the place to catch live music every Saturday between June 2 and Sept. 1. The resort’s summer music series combines great bands, cool beverages and spectacular panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Concerts start at 2:30 p.m. each Saturday.

A haunting mix of Appalachian folk, Americana, and retro country. If Birds Could Fly brings a powerful and soul absorbing blend of mountain music. If Birds Could Fly was founded in early 2010 by vocalist Brittany Ashley and guitarist Andrew Carter, now with the addition of bassist Joshua Harper and drummer/ percussionist Andrew Sergent the Americana quartet are ready to bring their sound to those who appreciate authentic and original music. The band has recently signed a recording agreement with Stillbrook Records of Nashville. The nationwide release of their new album “GHOSTS” is set for June 2012.

Our summer concert series is held out doors on the deck of our 5506′ Skybar. In the event of inclement weather, the events will be moved to the Beech Mountain Brewing Company

5506′ Skybar is a family friendly environment. The concerts themselves are free, however the only way to access 5506′ is by shuttle.  There is no parking and drop off location at 5506′.  All shuttle rides are $1.00 per person.
