Beech Mountain Resort is seeking a qualified and passionate Facilities and Resident Director to oversee our facilities and provide support to residents and staff. This is a rewarding position in a beautiful mountain setting, where you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our community. Our ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of facility management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of resort lodging facilities, including buildings and grounds
  • Manage staff housing tenants and ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment
  • Perform manual labor tasks as needed, such as cleaning, mulching, painting, changing lightbulbs, and addressing general maintenance issues
  • Coordinate landscaping, mowing, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces
  • Manage and support seasonal staff, assisting with tasks and providing guidance
  • Address maintenance issues on-site or drive to a location as needed, including lighting fireplaces, changing light bulbs or locks, fixing sinks, and calling for professional assistance when appropriate
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service requests
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness
  • Report and coordinate larger maintenance issues immediately
  • Assist with both staff housing and resort lodging as needed, adapting to changing priorities and providing support wherever it is required

Requirements or Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills for working with residents and staff
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of facility management practices and maintenance procedures
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role preferred
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in making improvements
  • Motivated and aggressive in identifying and implementing changes
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations as needed
