Beech Mountain Resort is seeking Ski and Snowboard Race Workers to support our race events and ensure an exceptional experience for all participants. Race workers play a key role in course setup, assisting participants, and maintaining the smooth operation of races. Our ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Full and part-time seasonal positions will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain ski and snowboard race courses, including gates, flags, and safety barriers
- Assist with participant check-ins, timing, and scoring during races
- Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Maintain and organize race equipment and supplies
- Ensure the safety of participants, staff, and spectators
- Collaborate with team members to execute race events efficiently
- Support post-event teardown and equipment storage
Requirements or Qualifications:
- Previous experience with ski and snowboard races or similar events preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the race schedule
- Reliable transportation required with the ability to navigate snowy or winter conditions
