The snowmaking department is responsible for the overall production and upkeep of on-hill snow operations. This position requires an active individual who is capable of working in an outdoor mountain environment. Job duties will include indoor and outdoor projects in extreme weather conditions. Through the winter season, the position will be part of the day-to-day snowmaking operation and staff. This will include slope preparation and repair, equipment management, and strategic planning. The operation will run on time management focused on efficiency and production. The position will be responsible for understanding and maximizing the production of the department.

Snowmaking preparation and operation
Equipment maintenance and repair
Slope maintenance and repair
Strategic planning
Compressor operations
Minimum Qualifications
Able to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays
Must have: interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Understanding of business principles and efficient organizational skills
Must promote a drug-free workplace, will be subject to drug screening and/or background check
While performing the duties of this job, the position is required to navigate a high mountain environment on varied terrain in demanding winter weather conditions
Stand for an extended period of time
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 50 pounds
Exert force by pushing & pulling items
Special Requirements
Beech Mountain Resort is located in an adverse weather region. Reliable transportation in all occurrences of winter weather is required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of state and federal criminal background check.
